The Sharing the Rough Jewelry Collection designed exclusively by Parle brings the beauty of the film to life with pure unadulterated gemstones mined with love and passion, beautiful organic designs that accentuate each gem, and a conviction to give back to the families that bring these gems to the surface.
Inspired by the award-winning documentary film by Orin J. Mazzoni, III, the Sharing the Rough Jewelry Collection is both a tribute and an inspiration to all the hands it takes to bring a gemstone from mine to market.
The measure of someone’s goodness is his or her willingness to give back.
At Parle, we believe companies have a corporate responsibility to improve the lives of the people it affects. We found our cause right at the heart of our company and have partnered with the Devon Foundation in hopes of educating and improving the lives of those closest to the source.
The Devon Foundation is responsible for developing talent in our field by providing gem-cutting scholarships to men and women in East Africa enabling them to earn a living in the gem trade. The gemstones in our collection “Sharing The Rough” are directly sourced from this area in Africa. We are inspired by the positive impact that Nancy Schuring and the Devon Foundation are fostering within these communities.
Our Parle promise is to donate a percentage of proceeds from the
“Sharing The Rough” jewelry collection, and we ask that our retailers do the same.
